This year our team will go back to Jamaica June 28-July 7. We will spend a majority of our time there at the fishing village in Montego Bay.  The fishing village is a very impoverished village down by the beautiful waters of Jamaica.  While there, we will spend our mornings at their school (they will still be in session) doing devotions with them. In the afternoon we will continue to pour into these wonderful children (about 40-60), sharing the love of Christ through CVBS. In years past, we were able to provide each of them with a backpack full of school supplies; we hope to do the same this year. Our wonderful friends, Pastor Tony and his wife Angela have started a preschool there in the village. The building needs quite a bit of work, so depending on the size of our team and who goes with us, we hope to do some work on the school.

On the second half of our trip, we hope to head up to Robin’s Nest. Robin’s Nest is a children’s home that has stolen our hearts. We love to spend time with the children and staff there. Unfortunately (for us, not the Nest), they are full with teams this year and we will not be able to stay there but are hoping to ride up each day. Again, we will spend mornings doing CVBS with them and the children in the surrounding community (about 60).

Our mission this year is still a work in the making. God is slowly revealing to us the work that he will have us do. We know that this year will be different than years past (as it always is), but we are not sure how, yet. We are keeping our eyes fixed on him and moving forward trusting completely in him. We know that Jesus knows our heart and will lead us in His everlasting way!

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way.” Psalm 139:23-24
